This is an enriched English language program based on the principles of the British framework which introduces children to the initial stages of English language learning, while developing a holistic and beneficial approach to teaching young learners, which embraces the child as a whole.
The aims of the program and accompanying resources are to provide young learners with a diverse, fun, and meaningful introduction to basic English in the four skill areas; speaking, listening, reading and writing. Grammar and pronunciation will be embedded throughout these four skill areas. By the end of the course young learners will be familiar with fundamental language items providing them with a natural transition to further language courses and levels. Created specifically for young learners this course seeks to encourage;
Our course encourages children to learn English while simultaneously strengthening their skills in other areas which will benefit their later language learning but also in their wider education. Throughout this course children will learn through;
LEARNING DEVELOPMENT AREAS: The course follows the standard English language topics but is delivered through a diverse range of activities that are based on the 7 EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) learning areas, with communication, language and literacy as its prime focus areas. The additional 5 areas of learning, which are essential to every child's development, underpin the programme.Language and Communication
LEARNING MODEL: The framework provides educators with a wealth of activities to support core language learning objectives while also dedicating time to develop key literacy skills through a speak to write programme. A system that is currently widespread through primary schools in the UK. This caters to the ever growing need to support content learning with skills based learning which often receives less focus in other programs. The premise is that the integration of content based lessons and skills based lessons will complement each other and encourages learners to become confident and independent in their language acquisition.Content based lessons
